Re: So, Tribe, huh?
Mon, April 27, 2009 - 8:19 AMI am, Sparty is, but thats about it from tribe me thinks so far.
Tribe as a whole has slowed down in users.....kind of a bummer. So much more simpler and community oriented than facebook. The new RRE board is great though, just what the dr. ordered for me!

Re: So, Tribe, huh?
Mon, May 25, 2009 - 7:59 AMWell, for me, Tribe is mainly west coast - rockies. If you're on the east coast, there isn't as much to comment on.
Beats the hell out of "crack"book and I do use and like the new forum for info and broader subjects.
I just got back from DelFest and if you all haven't heard yet, crazy weather, 50+ mph winds, hail, rain, no one that I heard was injured badly, but plenty of damage was done. It happened Sat. afternoon, lasted about an hour. RRE had two great sets.

awesome time. Campsite was a disaster area! Seriously looked like a post hurricane disaster. we left today bc all our gear got destroyed. my tent poles and canopies got bent up in the last gust of wind before the storm settled. seriously nuts! walking around you could see crumpled canopies everywhere. i'd say close to half of the people their left. Too bad as it looked like they were having a successful year, tons of people were there. Winds were so strong port o johns got knocked over near our site. this storm was some serious shit. we hung onto our canopy for dear life and eventually let go and let it fly away into the storm. no joke. look up some google searches for pics if you'd like. so insane to be in that, I kind of can't believe the festival didn't give some warning about it beforehand. this storm was being watched on the news for sure. pillows, sleeping bags, tents all soaked. i was basically homeless for a day.
RRE threw the F*ck down this weekend. Incredible playing by them and from all McCoury's as well! I've never heard Ronnie sound so freaking good. He always sounds good but this weekend after he sung Midnight Blues in the late night Del pick I was blown away by how good his voice sounded. -

damn, this year was insane! RRE and Cornmeal were definitely the highlights for me. i got to hang out and chill with tons of cool people.
now for the storm! i am from Cumberland and have NEVER seen it hail or even a storm come through like that. it was completely insane. it hailed for over 45 minutes. and it rained like a motherfucker. never seen anything like it here. there was a ravine, small albeit, that filled with water and ran down by our campsite and this dude was kayaking through it. there were pop up graveyards everywhere. i saw some campsites that everything was completely destroyed. tents, tables, pop ups, everything. it was unreal. i heard a few tornados touched down somewhere close. lighting struck near our camp and split a tree in two. if you were there you got to experience one of the coolest and most powerful storms this area has had, maybe ever, one of them at least.
all in all, it was a total mud fest at music meadow, like shin deep mud in front of stage. i totally raged cornmeal's set during the day in the mud. it was fun. this was a fun year. i can't wait to do it again.
pictures are forthcoming. -
